Get sunlight on your skin – sunlight is healing and antibacterial.

Drink lots of water and fresh organic juices (such as leafy greens, celery, cucumber, ginger, carrot, lemon) – this provides lots of beneficial nutrients and hydration to your cells to improve detoxification and encourage healing (See earlier Post on Water and Sunlight).

Limit / Avoid dairy and refined carbohydrates such as (pasta, bread, cookies, biscuits, packaged foods, ect) – as these can aggrevate skin conditions and are inflammatory in our bodies.

Drink herbal teas which support liver function – which helps move toxins out of our systems rather than through our skin (Dandelion, Burdock, Nettle ect)

Supplements which may assist skin health : Zinc (to be taken right before bed) – an important nutrient in skin health and often a nutrient that is deficient, some health food stores stock supplements with Zinc and Vitamin A, C and E which all work to promote skin health, Omega 3 Fish Oil as an anti-inflammatory and skin healer and very important for our cellular integrity, Probiotics to improve gut health and nutrient absorption and toxin removal.

Look at the make up you are using and the products to wash your skin with – look for natural alternatives and ensure your make up brushes are cleaned regularly.

If you get pimples in the same areas constantly you might find – Face Mapping – interesting … this indicates that getting pimples in the same areas on your face can point you to an organ or system that might need some extra attention … for example … if you always get pimples on your jaw line, this can indicate a hormonal imbalance and / or some lymphatic congestion and there are specific herbs that can support this area.
