Is it possible that this is our natural birth right?
Preconception care is something that should be addressed at least 4 months prior to conception if possible. The reason for this is because Sperm regeneration takes around 116 days and Egg maturation takes around 100 days. This means that if you provide your body with all the factors needed to grow a healthy baby and remove all the factors that inhibit a growth of a healthy baby then your body has the greatest chance to pass on the healthiest sperm and eggs which will provide the building blocks for your baby and its growth. Therefore with this in mind, BOTH parents should be involved in Preconception Care because both sperm and egg are required for the health of the baby. Therefore, men are not off the hook in this area.
Preconception care looks at gentle detoxification, proper nutrition, treatment of infections, avoiding of toxins, allergies, diagnostic tests for general health or any issues arising or present, understanding of natural contraception, exercise and stress control.
It also looks at Infertility Factors that may be present such as
– Poor Diet and Nutrition
– Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
– Immune System Failure
– Environmental Toxins and Pollution
– Drugs and Medicines
– Autoimmune Diseases
– Contraceptives such as – Oral Contraceptive Pill and IUD
– Healthy Eggs and Sperm
– Reproductive Issues such as Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Hormonal Imbalances ect
“Babies are grown from the environment that we provide for them.
This is a wonderous opportunity!”
