Have i talked about Bone Broth before? Well after playing around with it for the past few months I have decided that I like it . . . oh gosh, not the taste . . . don’t be ridiculous . . . but its good for me, so I like it. I’m like a kid at Christmas when I wake up and run to the fridge and pull out my chilled bone broth to see if it has set. The last batch didn’t, you can only imagine my utter dismay and disappointment, but my batch I have had brewing over the past few days, well it is solid as gelatin rich bone broth can be. PRETTY LITTLE THINGS
I love pretty little things, especially when it comes to food. Melbourne has turned on its A-game this week with some stellar steamy weather. Speaking of weather, I’ve been feeling a bit under it today so I popped off to the store today in my summer dress (it’s really too hot for clothes, just saying) to pick up a few things, ran into lovely Bev and had a chat, she’s my Nans age and just the loveliest woman (hope I’m half as cool as her when I’m her age, she’s got a heart of gold). VEGETARIAN
For years I have had people ask me if I am a vegetarian, or I’ll be at a party and people will ask me, “What are you going to eat? They’ve made a meat dish!”. It always makes me laugh at the assumption that I am a vegetarian, when in fact ladies and gentleman, I am not and nor have I ever been. Well except that one month a few years back when I tried a raw food diet for a month. I started to get a complex about it, thinking maybe I look anemic, ha! Or maybe just the assumption that healthy people only eat spinach and kale and almonds. I do eat all of those but alas, I also eat meat. Continue reading “VEGETARIAN”
UNLIKELY LEADERS
“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupery
CULTURE
Radek Sali is 39 years old, the CEO of a billion dollar business, Swisse. I had the opportunity to attend this session where Radek was speaking but wasn’t able to attend so took the time to listen back to what was said. I was speaking to a friend the other day and it just came out of my mouth, “Its my new favorite thing to listen to CEO’s of million dollar business’ talk.”, and I kind of laughed at myself cause it’s true. A year or two ago I may not have thought about it but it has become a force of inspiration and fascination in my life and is leading me down a new path that is only opening up wider step by step. FOOTBALL
When Hawthorn won the AFL grand final this year for the 3rd consecutive year I heard a few people give them a hard time for winning again and saying it’s another teams turn. This got me thinking.
Isn’t that amazing and inspiring!”
. . . and I wanted to know more . . .
“How DOES a team win the football three years in a row?”, “Who are the people in charge of this team?”, “How is the team run?, “What are the foundations?”, “What are the keys?”.
- Knowing your vision and values

LIFE
I needed to hear this today! Sometimes we are so busy looking forward that we (or me) forget to just enjoy living and the everyday-ness of every day. My head is so lost sometimes in what is coming or what I need to do that I have removed myself from this beautiful present and miss my life moment by moment. I have a To Do list that could last me through to old age, and the ideas are often flooding in which just lengthens this dreamers To Do list. So today, whilst I strive to show value to my time that I have, today I will just enjoy!
Simple!
Enjoy.
